Security clearance sponsorship and ongoing management for organisations and their people.

Ingenium Group provides Australian Government security clearance sponsorship and management services, helping organisations obtain, upgrade, and maintain the clearances their people need to work in secure government environments.

As an accredited Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) member, Ingenium can sponsor Australian Government security clearances up to Negative Vetting Level 2 (NV2). Our experienced Security Officer manages the process with the candidate, liaises with the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA), and provides ongoing support once a clearance is granted.

Helping you access security-cleared opportunities

Security clearances are required for people who need access to classified Australian Government information, assets, and environments.

For organisations without their own ability to sponsor clearances, this can create a significant barrier to bidding for or delivering government work.

Ingenium provides the sponsorship and Security Officer capability needed to help organisations obtain appropriate clearances for their people and properly manage those clearances once granted.

When you may need security clearance services

Ingenium can help when:

  • You are bidding for government work that requires security-cleared personnel
  • You have secured government work and need staff to obtain initial security clearances
  • Existing personnel require their clearances to be upgraded
  • Security clearances are approaching renewal
  • You need greater assurance that clearance holders are meeting their AGSVA responsibilities
  • You require ongoing professional management of staff security clearances

Effective clearance management helps reduce the risk of people being unavailable for required work because their clearance has not been obtained, maintained, or managed appropriately.

Candidate assessment and screening

Before Ingenium sponsors an application, our Security Officer works directly with the candidate to complete the required preliminary assessment and screening.

This includes obtaining the necessary candidate information and consents, confirming identity, conducting an assessment interview and suitability assessment, and completing required checks, including an AFP National Police Check.

Security clearance applications

Once the preliminary assessment has been satisfactorily completed, Ingenium submits the security clearance application to AGSVA.

We coordinate with AGSVA and the candidate throughout the application, respond to requests for additional information, maintain appropriate records, and keep the candidate and client informed of progress.

Clearance upgrades and renewals

Ingenium can support existing clearance holders who require a higher clearance level and assist with the ongoing management and renewal of sponsored clearances.

Our Security Officer monitors relevant requirements and helps clearance holders understand the actions required to maintain their clearance.

Ongoing Security Officer services

Our role does not end when a clearance is granted.

Ingenium provides ongoing Security Officer services for the clearances we sponsor, including briefing clearance holders on their responsibilities, managing security training requirements, providing relevant security updates, monitoring compliance with AGSVA requirements, and providing support when clearance holders have questions or concerns.

A structured, compliant clearance process

Security clearance sponsorship carries significant responsibilities for both the sponsoring organisation and the candidate.

Ingenium maintains an established process for managing clearance applications and sponsorship, including candidate consent, identity verification, screening, suitability assessment, required checks, application management, liaison with AGSVA, and ongoing monitoring.

Each candidate has an Ingenium Security Officer as their point of contact throughout the application process, providing a clear connection between the candidate, Ingenium, and AGSVA.

Why security clearance management matters

Obtaining a clearance is only part of the requirement. Security clearances need to be properly maintained.

Clearance holders have ongoing responsibilities, including completing required security training and reporting relevant changes in circumstances. Inadequate management can put a clearance at risk and potentially affect an organisation’s ability to deploy personnel to government work.

Effective clearance management helps organisations maintain appropriately cleared personnel while giving clearance holders access to the information and support they need to meet their responsibilities.

Security clearance sponsorship up to NV2

As an accredited DISP member, Ingenium can sponsor Australian Government security clearances up to NV2.

Our Security Officer has experience working with AGSVA requirements and processes and manages the clearance from initial assessment and application through to ongoing sponsorship and support.

Ingenium’s security experience also extends across Defence and secure Australian Government environments, giving us an understanding of the responsibilities associated with handling classified information and working within security-conscious environments.

Why Ingenium

Security clearance sponsorship is an ongoing responsibility, not simply an administrative application service.

Ingenium combines DISP membership, an experienced and security-cleared Security Officer, established clearance-management processes, and extensive experience within Australian Government and Defence security environments.
Our capability includes more than 20 years of security experience across the ADF and Defence, successful DISP compliance audits, established security clearance management systems and procedures, and in-depth familiarity with AGSVA processes.

Most importantly, candidates and clients have a clear point of contact throughout the process and ongoing Security Officer support after the clearance is granted.
